The Placer County Board of Supervisors approved a resolution Tuesday to impose the proposal of its final Dec. 8, 2020, position in negotiations with the Placer County Deputy Sheriff’s Association (DSA).
The DSA filed an amended charge against Placer on Feb. 24 after receiving notice from the county of the intent to repeal Placer County Code section 3.12.040, also known as Measure F, on Feb. 10. Measure F determines the maximum salaries of similar positions in Sacramento, Nevada and El Dorado counties and calculates the average of those salaries to set a salary at an equal level for compensation adjustments. Voters considered repealing Measure F in 2002 and 2006 but kept the measure each time.
