California’s Gold Country was founded by pioneers who ventured West and from around the world in the hopes of striking it rich. They endured a land of lawlessness, rough conditions, and hard and dangerous work. Some of them made incredible fortunes while some perished tragically, but their legacy of risking it all in pursuit of a dream endures.
The Gold Country Taxpayers Association supports policies that empower people to innovate and take risks without excessive tax or regulatory burdens. We recognize that our region’s pioneer heritage was built on a spirit of hard work and individual initiative that forms the foundation of our past as well as our future.
